America's Got Talent, the reality show that featured singers, dancers, magicians,comedians and other performers has came to an end. After 10 weeks of death-defying and sometimes ridiculous acts, America's Got Talent has named its Season 6 winner.
The final competition came down to jazz singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., fan-favorite Silhouettes, music troupe Poplyfe and dancers iLuminate. It was Murphy, who formerly lived on the street and washed cars, who captured America's attention, making him the sixth winner of America's Got Talent.
America's Got Talent, the most viewed episode, came down to an eclectic mix of four acts Wednesday night to win $1 million and their own headlining Las Vegas act.
Was it singing jazz sensation Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., who recently told PEOPLE he is "the one to beat?" Or glow-in-the-dark dancers Team iLuminate? Or consistent fan favorites, Silhouettes? Or underdog music group Poplyfe?
Jazz singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., who went from washing cars and living on the street to performing in front of millions, won the competition.
As the crowd screamed, the West Virginia native put his hands over his face and was rushed by members of the second-place act, the dance group Silhouettes.
With mind-blowing vocal talent, the newly minted millionaire – who once struggled to support his family – previously told PEOPLE he planned to take his earnings and "invest it in my kids' future."
He narrowly beat out Silhouettes, which had the show's youngest contestant to date. The group wowed judges all season long by posing behind a screen and making shapes with their bodies that matched famous photographs that were typically American-themed.
Also in the top four were:
• Team iLuminate: Praised throughout the season by judges for their originality, the glow-in-the-dark dance act's choreography skills combined with unique presentation has made them a fan favorite.
• Poplyfe: Piers Morgan originally told the young, Oakland, Calif.-based band that all of its members except for front woman Kehlani Parrish were essentially useless. But after weeks of wowing all three judges with iconic songs by the Beatles and Jackson 5, Morgan took back his original critique.
Brooklyn Decker the model/actress had a tougher time of it early yesterday at the U.S. Open than her husband, Andy Roddick, who whipped fellow Nebraskan Jack Sock in straight sets.
Suddenly, Decker started getting heckled by a group of impatient journalists who were on the last media bus and thought Decker was holding them up.
The journalists screamed repeatedly at Decker: "Hurry up and get on the bus," not realizing she was Roddick's famous wife and not with the media. Decker, who appeared to be embarrassed, walked away toward a players' van. Roddick is in action today against Julien Benneteau.
Lindsay's sister, Ali Lohan managed to steal the spotlight from her older sister this week -- without saying a word.In a photo taken Tuesday, the 17-year-old model emerged in Beverly Hills looking drastically different: with fuller lips and a much more angular face.
"Contrary to recent reports, I can confirm that Aliana Lohan has not had any surgery," Alexis Borges, the agency director at Next Model Management, which represents Ali, told E! News.
"As a young girl who is growing up, it's natural for her facial features to change slightly, and we see this with many of the younger models we represent. Aliana is a beautiful 17-year-old girl who is growing into her face and body, as is the norm for someone of her age. We take pastoral care of our models very seriously and encourage the models to maintain a healthy lifestyle and body shape."

The actress and social-media star will be the boss of Milo Thomas Bugliari, born Wednesday morning. Milano and her agent hubby got their bundle of joy -- clocking in at 7 pounds and 19 inches long -- a little before 10 a.m., People said.
Milo is a first child for Milano and Bugliari, who married in 2009. During her pregnancy, the actress has been über-active on Twitter, tweeting her excitement, offering tips for cloth diapers and even answering fans' questions about motherhood.
The couple told E! News in May that the baby's name would be chosen from a list of five, after they finally met him.

People Magazine's eye-popping $1.5 million purchase of exclusive photo rights to Kim Kardashian's wedding to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries is being heralded as a success for the weekly publication in today’s downward sliding magazine market. But in order to make the pricey gamble pay off, the magazine had to get a little sneaky with its readers.
The Kardashian wedding issue, which hit newsstands Aug. 24, sold about 1.5 million copies, a 31 percent increase over the current sales average of 1.15 million. That's especially impressive, considering that the three previous covers -- featuring Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and the Bachelorette -- all sold under the average. This comes during a hard time for the weekly, which experienced a 10.5 percent drop in newsstand sales to 1.2 million for the first half of 2011, causing the perennial No. 2 newsstand seller to fall behind both Cosmopolitan and Women’s World in sales according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulation’s magazine figures.
The magazine's secret weapon was a 25 percent cover price increase ($4.99 versus the regular $3.99). So the extra 350,000 copies sold delivered an extra $350,000 right away. However, since a weekly mass publication only recoups about $2 on every newsstand sale, the mag needed to have sold an extra 750,000 copies to get back their $1.5 million investment in total. Also, online readers were offered a $1 off coupon for a future issue, which will cost the glossy in upcoming sales.

“It’s tough,” he told reporters on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet. “I mean, my excuse is they’re so different. I can root for them both.”

Angelina Jolie makes her directing debut in the war romance, In the Land of Blood and Honey, a project that has affected her both personally and professionally.
“I’ve never felt more exposed. My whole career, I’ve hidden behind other people’s words,” she said in Vanity Fair’s October cover story. “Now it’s me talking. You feel ridiculous if you get something wrong.”
The actress wrote the script, which is set against the backdrop of the Bosnian Civil War in the 1990s, while laid up with the flu and isolated from her family. Trusting no one else to helm her project, Jolie stepped in to direct the film, casting all unknown local actors and filming in both Serbo-Croation and English.
“Brad thinks I’m going to be a nightmare,” she joked of how the project would change her acting career. “I had such a good experience he thinks I’m going to be impatient with directors, which I already am. I get impatient with people working on a film that have their head in their hands like it’s the most complicated thing in the world.”

Daryl Hannah, The "Kill Bill" star breaks the law again in the name of environmental activism.
The actress and environmental activist was taken into custody on Tuesday while participating in a sit-in to protest the expansion of a pipeline running from Canada's controversial Keystone XL tar sands to Oklahoma. If approved by the U.S. State Department, the pipeline would be extended to the Gulf Coast.
"We stand here today to just say no to slavery, to just say no to tar sands, oil and no to the Keystone pipeline," Hannah was reported to have said at the protest.
An estimated 100 people were part of the sit-in that occurred on the sidewalk in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
This isn't the first time Hannah's environmental interests have put her on the wrong side of the law. The actress known for Roxanne and Splash was previously arrested in 2006 after chaining herself to a walnut tree for three weeks to protest the destruction of the country's largest urban farm in South Central Los Angeles. She was arrested again 2009 during a sit-in to protest mountaintop removal mining in West Virginia.
It’s been almost two years since the long and messy breakup of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren. The golf star and the Swedish model seemed to be the perfect celebrity couple- quiet and not very flashy, with two toddlers and an ideal life. But then, the Thanksgiving before last, a massive sex scandal involving Woods slowly broke after the golfer crashed his car near their Florida home. The pair struggled to keep it together, but Woods’ former bedmates emerged from the ether one by one, all claiming extensive and salacious romps with the athlete.
All in all, more than a dozen women came forward with tales of bedding Woods while he was involved with Nordegren, and eventually, their marriage dissolved. When Kim Kardashian chose family friend Vera Wang to create her custom couture wedding gowns, she knew things would be picture perfect. What she didn’t know, however, was which of the three intricate gowns she would choose to wear for her walk down the aisle.
“I truly, up until two days before [the wedding] could not decide which to wear,” the bride admits to PEOPLE. After seeking advice from friends, family — and of course Wang herself — the choice was clear: Kardashian made her grand entrance in what she calls the “princess look” gown, a ball gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on bodice and train. Along with her Lorraine Schwartz headpiece, she wore a cathedral-length veil with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué at the hem and a lightly shirred blusher layer.
“It was Cinderella,” Wang tells PEOPLE of the overall look. “But Cinderella with a very sexy body. She has a very Liz Taylor or Sofia Loren kind of body and we didn’t want to lose that.”
For the first dance, Kardashian went with something completely different — the gown that ended up being “my favorite,” she says — a sexier, Georgette mermaid dress with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on bodice. The skirt had hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery.
And lastly, when it was time to party, Kardashian made her third and final change of the evening into a bias-cut crepe-back satin gown with v-neck and circle skirt. She accessorized all three looks with custom Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Wang summed up the experience perfectly: “It was a wonderful process. The fact that she came to me for having a certain classicism mixed with modernity, I feel very honored.”
