According to AP reporters, Sheriff's detectives have wrapped a seven-month extortion investigation into Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Steve Whitmore the sheriff's spokesman said that detectives handed over their results to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office today to determine whether any criminal charges need to be filed.
The agency launched its investigation after Grigorieva claimed Gibson hit her during a fight last Janaury. It also was looking into Gibson's claims that she tried to extort him while they were working out a child custody arrangement.
